We are delighted to be supporting the Agri-Food Careers Event at the EPIC and EXO centre at Lincolnshire Showground on Tuesday 7th February 2023 form 9.30 to 2.30pm.

Louth Livestock Market auctioneer Oliver Chapman and chartered surveyor and land agent Lucy Turner from Masons Rural team will be attending this free one-day event. This careers event is aimed at Year 9, Year 10, Year 11, and Year 12 students focusing on giving young people an insight into the range of opportunities available within the agri-food industry.

Oliver, 24, was recently chosen as one of The Lincolnite's 30 under 30 for his outstanding contribution to Louth Livestock Market. Oliver recently gained his ALAA becoming an Associate of the Livestock Auctioneers Association (LAA). Oliver is one of the up and coming auctioneers engaging with the next generation of livestock farmers, connecting working practice with the value of the livestock market.

Lucy is also a strong ambassador for a career in agriculture. She recently passed her final exams to become a fellow of CAAV - Central Association of Agricultural Valuers adding another valuer to the Masons Rural team. Both Oliver and Lucy were keen to support this event, organised by Rosie Crust. They are delighted to shine a spotlight on the opportunities for young people in the rural sector.

"We are really looking forward to meeting students and teachers from all over the county to share our experiences of personal and professional development in the agricultural sector, " says Lucy.
"Plus we can touch on the other parts of working with Masons such as land agency and residential property sales and lettings. We currently have apprentices working in these areas at Masons."

The event promises to give real insight into the diverse careers that are available with a fantastic opportunity to gather comprehensive information and a real insight into the wide range of careers available within the high-tech, innovative, diverse, and highly rewarding agri-food industry in Lincolnshire.
