With just a couple of days remaining for nominations, we wanted to remind you of the Lincolnshire Food and Farming Excellence Awards and why Masons Rural decided to get involved as a sponsor.

Running Lincolnshire’s only livestock market every week and being at the heart of the Lincolnshire Farming community gives a unique insight into in the hard work and dedication required to survive and thrive in the agriculture and food sector.

“We are delighted to sponsor the first ever Future of Farming Award aimed at young farmers. As a business with over 170 years of heritage in Lincolnshire, it’s at the core of what we do. Having worked with families over many decades, we see each generation put their own stamp on their family farm and we have the knowledge and farm business expertise to help support and guide them. The ideas of young farmers are what keeps farming evolving” said Simon Williams, Managing Director.

We are delighted to see so many of our clients thrive with sustainable farm businesses that supply he local food and drink sector, as well as those who diversify, bringing added value to their crops or livestock by creating new food-related businesses.

As proud advocates of Lincolnshire food, we buy and support local food producers as a business and as individuals, supporting local butchers, food retailers, cafés, pubs, and independents in the heart of Louth, the Lincolnshire Wolds and the whole region.

We would encourage any Lincolnshire farming or food business to self-nominate for these awards, in particular the Future of Farming Award sponsored by the Masons Rural team.

Taking part is an opportunity to showcase your products, reach a wider audience, shine a spotlight on your business, acknowledge the achievements of your team and make new connections. There are 13 categories in total and we really hope to see your name among the nominations when we’re judging next week!
