"We can't gateaux-ver how much you've raised!" said Scarlet from Macmillan's social media team when we shared how much we'd taken on the 27th September, the day of our Annual Macmillan Coffee Morning at Masons.

After last year's successful event saw our Sales reception bursting at the seams, we decided we need to 'go big' so we booked a market pitch with Esther and the wonderful market team at East Lindsey. We popped up just outside the Masons offices at the top of Cornmarket in the heart of Louth, with our marquee filling several tables with delicious homebaked cakes, desserts, biscuits, tray bakes and savoury treats from the super star bakers across all our teams. We also offered tea and coffee and were thrilled at the support we received from our friends on the market as well as clients, colleagues, landlords, tenants, friends and family who popped by.

As Scarlet said "£483 is an amazing amount, and it means we can run our Online Community forum for 1 day. In this time, 2,398 people affected by cancer in the UK can give emotional and practical support to each other on anything to do with cancer – from treatments, to coping with everyday life, to the death of a loved one."

Since then, Holly, who organised the event on behalf of Masons, has collected the rest of the promised donations making a grand total of £504.83 for Macmillan Cancer Support. A huge thank you to everyone who got involved. We can't wait to do it all again next year and continue to bake a difference!
