MARLA success for Jess in Masons Lettings Agency Team

More great news for Masons' staff this summer, with Jessica Gladding from Masons Lettings team passing her Level 3 qualification in letting and property management, following a year of study. Jess has now become a MARLA member further expanding the considerable expertise of our Lettings team.
Jess joined us in August 2017 as our first ever apprentice taking on the front desk role in reception to get a feel for the variety of work that estate agency can bring. She soon developed a passion for lettings and marketing, setting up our Masons Facebook page and Masons Instagram account in 2018. Jess continued to work across both departments until 2022 when she brought her attention to detail and organisational skills to residential property compliance in our Lettings team.
Established in 1850, Masons is Louth's most established letting agency with a history of apprenticeship offering industry-related qualifications alongside paid employment. Following in Jess's footsteps, Violet and Bethany were also apprentices whose talents have been retained by Masons, both now working in the Sales team.
Jess's new MARLA qualification covers health and safety, security and general law, legal aspects of letting and management, residential property letting practice and residentional property management. This included repair & maintenance, appointing contractors related to residential properties, and problems associated with managing residential properties and end of tenancy duties.
Jess has now begun studying for her Propertymark Qualifications Award in Residential Inventory Management further enhancing the professional standards and expertise that our landlords and tenants can expect from the Masons Letting team. In light of changes to government legisation, it's even more important to ensure that rented properties meet the legal requirements and that all the necessary actions are carried out, otherwise landlords may face heavy fines and imprisonment.
