“Lincolnshire’s Livestock Market” is held every Thursday. Visit the market website www.louthmarket.co.uk
Louth Livestock Market is leased and operated by the partners of Masons Chartered Surveyors who trade livestock as Louth Market Auctioneers via a bespoke trading entity called Louth Market Ltd. As members of the Livestock Auctioneers Association (LAA) we hold a weekly auction each Thursday of finished and store cattle and sheep. We believe firmly in the role that a livestock market plays within the farming community, and especially locally, as we run the only livestock auction in the county. The partners and key staff are experienced auctioneers and livestock people, David Williams has farmed sheep and kept cattle himself for fifty years. Simon Williams has worked with livestock all his life and has a flock of pedigree ewes which he has on a small tenanted farm in the Wolds. Russell Jeanes, who handles all the day to day running of the market for the firm, grew up on a dairy farm in Somerset and since moving to Lincolnshire has kept pedigree and commercial sheep of his own, supplying tups to local farmers.
