Louth Livestock Markets Annual Christmas Stock Show & Sale
On Thursday 28th December Louth Market welcomed judges, stewards, exhibitors, participants and supporters from all around the county to celebrate their 90th Annual Christmas Stock Show & Sale.
Classes included Cattle, Sheep, Best Presented, Young Stockperson, speciality food classes for commercial entrants and a Mince Pie Class which was open to all!
David Nickson of Farlesthorpe took Show Champion with his beast, being presented with Louth Chamber of Trade Silver Challenge Rose Bowl - Haltered Champion Beast, awarded by Sophie Barwood of Wilkin Chapman LLP, closely followed by P & B Hodgson & Sons of Tumby Woodside taking Reserve Champion, presented with Louth Butchers Association Silver Challenge Rose Bowl - Reserve Haltered Champion Beast, awarded by Darren Franklin of Lloyds Banking Group.
The show was well attended, with excellent entries across the classes with all proceeds going to two incredible charities the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The day followed by an evening dinner at Kenwick Golf Club, where even more funds were raised for the two fantastic charities!
A huge thank you to Lucy Marsden, Fatstock Show secretary, all those that sit on the Fatstock Show Committee, Richard from Coastal Distilleries, for our after dinner speech and to everyone that participated and supported the event!
